there is no proxy setup, i can connect to msn/skype and ul/dl to my homepage via ftp and i can allso download from webpages, but i cannot connect via xchat/mirc

I had a strange problem with rsync (possible related to ssh?) on hardy where if I was transferring large files to another computer on the LAN it would often Stall and not continue working...I am happy to report that this issue has been resolved in Intrepid...Just in case anybody is having that issue.
